The Display Screen Equipment Regulations require all workstations to be assessed for bad posture, incorrect seat positioning, bad ergonomic set up and general environment. Once assessed, corrective actions are suggested and can be put straight into action. A full and comprehensive checklist is prepared which is very useful for new starters, temporary staff, or if you have staff returning to work after a period of absence, e.g. maternity / paternity leave or long-term sickness.
The trained Assessor will be able to carry out DSE assessments on selected workstations with the nominated employees.
The course trains the delegate to complete a thorough assessment of a workstation(s). Subjects covered include, basic legislation, posture, demonstration, documentation and the assessment process.
